The Objectives

Marshall Motor Group required a future-proof and stable Learning Management platform that incorporated the latest technologies, be simple to understand, use, and even more simple to manage.

Internally, the key objectives were to provide users with an all in one “Marshall Academy” to deliver online/offline training, automate reporting, and compliance management. The business also required to retain the existing knowledge base and archive the data to analyse it internally.

Marshall Motor Group wanted more than just a suite of e-learning solutions but a smooth implementation and ongoing support services to be able to build a long-term working relationship.

The Challenge

Having over 119 branches spread across the country with around 5000 staff, Marshall needed a cloud-based LMS system that could guarantee stability. Marshall executive staff also specified the importance of LMS to be mobile responsive so that managers can complete their training using tablets. It also required access to a fast track/escalation to log support tickets and calls to find resolutions within 2 hours.

In addition to this, some extra features were essential to be delivered. For example, continuous personal development (CPD) implemented into the platform together with Webinars embedded into the e-learning courses.

The Solution

My Learning Hub prepared a bespoke implementation program that also included a staff onboarding service. A dedicated project manager has been assigned to the project to set-up the system according to Marshall organisational structure based on departments, divisions, dealerships, teams, and job titles. Unique permissions and visibility settings have also been installed for each user role across all its offices.

My Learning Hub began working with Marshall in January 2019 and completed the implementation of the project within 4 months - a rapid turnaround for a business of this size.

As a part of the system implementation, My Learning Hub managed to allocate extra development resources to deliver custom features for Marshall within agreed time constraints.

Custom development included

  • Continuous Personal Development Credits (CPD) + Report
  • Webinars capability
  • Dashboard timer to show the user how much time is left to
  • complete the course
